Forget this month

Jesus, what a suck of a month February is. No, this has nothing to do with Valentine's Day, I am utterly indifferent to that holiday and always have been. And nothing is wrong in my life, I'm just fine. But I look around me and see some other people going through some hard times that they don't deserve. That really sucks. Screw you, February.

Amen. :(

February always sucks. Someone once said it was the longest month of the year, and I think that's true. After a fall filled with holidays you land with a thud on Jan 2, with only the rest of the winter to look forward to.

I think Valentine's Day is embraced as a way to add a little sparkle to the long gray stretch between New Year's and the beginning of spring.

I'm not too much of a cynic, but Valentine's Day is that one day that can remind me of the fact that I am the only 21 year old male on the face of God's Green Earth that has been single his entire life.

If I didn't have a personal rule against it, I would go start drinking now.

Um -- James? No you're not. Trust me. I've known guys a lot older than you (21? Jebus. I feel my teeth loosening in my jaw...) that have been single their whole lives, for one reason or another. And they aren't gay either. (And I ain't marrying any of 'em. I like being a spinster.)

So cheer up! You aren't alone. Well, you are, but -- I'll just shut up now.

There's an old stroy that says the Roman Emperor hated the month so month, he shortened its length to 28 days so it would be over faster. I don't care if it's true or not. February sucks.

Wow. And I thought it was just me.
